How We Sold at Dolores Plaza — and What We Learned Along the Way
Before & After

When we were asked to represent the sale of a home at 1839 15th Street, we knew timing, presentation, and pricing would be key — especially in a shifting San Francisco market.
The unit had been lovingly lived in for many years and was quite dated. We guided the seller through a focused six-week renovation plan that completely transformed the space — new flooring, an updated kitchen and bathroom, fresh paint, and modern finishes throughout. Thanks to our trusted network of contractors and vendors, the work was completed efficiently — no small feat in San Francisco.
The difference between “before” and “after” was remarkable. What started as a dated space became a bright, modern, move-in-ready home that immediately resonated with buyers.

The Process
Once we hit the market, the response was strong — we received multiple offers and went into contract in under two weeks. We even had a solid backup offer in place. Then, just when it seemed we’d be off the market quickly, BOTH buyers financing fell through.
We regrouped immediately, re-energized our marketing, held additional open houses, and leaned into our network. We stayed transparent about pricing and kept qualified buyers engaged. Within weeks, we secured a new offer — from one of the very first visitors who had seen the property early on — and successfully closed.
What I Loved
This sale was a reminder that great homes find their match — even when the path isn’t perfectly straight. We had the right product, strong preparation, and a clear story for buyers. The key was staying persistent and proactive through every twist.
Results Beyond One Sale
At the same time, we represented the buyer of a studio in the building and are currently know another buyer eager to find a home here — proof of continued demand and confidence in Dolores Plaza.
What We Took Away
This experience reinforced what we already know about San Francisco real estate:
-
The right pricing and presentation create momentum.
-
Persistence and communication drive results.
-
And having a local agent who understands the building makes all the difference.
